The SEBBM, in collaboration with the Carmen and Severo Ochoa Foundation, launch the Severo Ochoa Conferences, which will deal monographically with research topics on the frontier of knowledge and will be coordinated by leading people in these fields.

We are thrilled to announce the first of the Severo Ochoa Conferences on Astrocyte-neuron metabolic coupling in organismal (patho)physiology, which will be held next 29-30 June 2023 at the Faculty of Pharmacy – University of Salamanca, inspired and organized by the SEBBM in collaboration with the Fundación Carmen y Severo Ochoa.

We have an amazing panel of confirmed speakers such as Guillermina Lopez-Bendito, Marc Claret, Giovanni Marsicano, Cristina Garcia-Caceres, Ruben Nogueiras, Alberto Pascual, Stephanie Schirmeier, Gilles Bonvento, Bruno Weber and Gertrudis Perea.

Local coordinator, Juan Pedro Bolaños on behalf of the Severo Ochoa Conferences Comission, headed by Prof. Maria Angeles Serrano.

Register before April 30, number of attendees are limited to 50. Reduced registration fee for SEBBM members.

Posters allowed and a selection of those will be upgraded to short talks.

Please, follow the template provided as an example and this guidelines:

  • Use Times New Roman 12 pt
  • Title should be in bold
  • The first author should be the presenting author
  • Indicate affiliations using superscript numbers
  • Abstract main body: please, keep the length to about 200 words
  • An acknowledgment section may be added
  • References section may be added and references listed by numbers
