I obtained my PhD in Biochemistry from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in 2005. My research focuses on the biophysical processes that regulate membrane organization, and I currently study how lipid–protein interactions control autophagy. I have published more than thirty articles in international peer-reviewed journals and collaborate with several reference research centers.
My teaching activity centers on educational innovation and the integration of sustainability into bioscience education. I have participated in and coordinated projects addressing these topics and have published several articles on the incorporation of sustainability principles into scientific training. Through this work, I contribute to the development of biochemistry and molecular biology education models that are more responsible and aligned with global challenges. In parallel, I collaborate in science outreach initiatives in Spanish, English, and Basque, convinced that science should be accessible and closely connected to society.
As coordinator, my goal is to foster innovative, inclusive, and sustainable bioscience education that strengthens the link between basic research and society and prepares future generations to face future challenges.
