La Real Academia Sueca de Ciencias ha concedido el Premio Nobel de Química 2024 a David Baker, Demis Hassabis y John Jumper por descifrar la estructura de las proteínas. La mitad del galardón corresponde a Baker por su trabajo en el "diseño computacional de proteínas”; mientras que la otra mitad, en conjunto, a Hassabis y Jumper por "predecir la estructura de las proteínas”.
