We are looking for motivated predoctoral candidates to apply for regional, national and international competitive funding to pursue a PhD (3–4 years) in reproductive biology, in the biotecnology of mammalian reproduction research group.
The project, led by Dr. Ribas-Maynou at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, aims to decipher the role of paternal genome integrity during the early stages of embryonic development, establishing how DNA breaks in specific genomic regions affect reproductive efficiency.
The selected candidate will work with advanced techniques to assess sperm DNA damage, perform in vitro fertilization in animal models, and apply molecular biology methods including next-generation sequencing (NGS).
Perfil buscado
• Academic background in biotechnology, genetics, biomedical sciences, biology, veterinary science, or related fields.
• Meeting the eligibility criteria to enroll in doctoral studies at UAB.
• Proficient in written and spoken English (minimum level B2).
• Highly motivated, curious, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
• A Bachelor’s degree GPA above 8/10 will be especially valued.
