Descripción de la oferta
Our work focuses on the study of the exciting role of intestinal homeostasis including the intestinal epithelium, microbiome and immune system interactions and its influence in alcohol-associated liver disease. The proposed study will characterize this gut-liver axis in preclinical models of ethanol-induced liver disease and in patients with alcohol use disorder using cutting edge microbiomics and state-of-the-art technology. We aim to find innovative strategies to prevent alcohol-associated liver disease in patients.
