We are looking for a full-time lecturer (Professor Lector/Ayudante Dr) for the area of Biomedicine with a PhD in field of cancer research. The candidate will be required to:
• Research: Perform research in cancer, with Dr. Roni Wright Lab.
• Management: perform key management tasks related to the Degree in Biomedical Sciences and Master in Experimental research: practicum and international mobility.
• Teaching: teach subjects related with biomedical research, human pathology, and cancer biology (Cancer Biology in English)

Perfil buscado

The candidate must have:
o A PhD obtained in a discipline related to the position.
o Previous management duties experience developed in academia.
o Proven record of effective teaching experience.
o Fluency in English/Catalan/Spanish.

The following aspects will be also positively valued:
o To be in possession of AQU or ANECA (or similar) accreditation (Lector) or to have sufficient merits to obtain such accreditation within the first year of employment.
o Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
o Ability to supervise and guide undergraduate students in their research projects.
o Research experience (publications, research project participation)

Specific research Requirements
-Strong interest in breast cancer research
-Proficiency in Excel, word, reference manager software
-Experience in mammalian cell culture
-Experience in basic molecular biology techniques including but not limited to protein analysis (western blot, IF, IHC), gene manipulation and analysis; PCR, qRT-PCR, etc.
-Basic statistics analysis
-Ability to work independently and part of the team
-Manuscript writing and figure preparation
-First author scientific publication
