Descripción de la oferta
Ana Muñoz Manchado’s lab is looking for a highly motivated, curious, and creative researcher interested in applying for competitive Juan de la Cierva fellowship to carry out a 2-year postdoctoral project focused on:
Our multidisciplinary and recently established group at the University of Cadiz and INiBICA (https://inibica.es/co23-genetica-y-enfermedades-neurodegenerativas/) is focused on understanding the underlying genetic mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases. Currently, we have different lines of investigation:
Understanding Parkinson’s disease pathology with cell type specificity. We apply single cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) in both postmortem human samples and disease models to decipher the main genetic programs underlying the disease.
Delineating the role of the striatum brain area in neurodegeneration. We compare scRNA-seq data from different nervous system disorders to define the specific genetic pathways involved and apply spatial transcriptomics to also define the anatomical differences.
Ph.D. in Biology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Medical Engineer, Genetics or a related field.
Experience in data analysis and with the Linux operating system.
Proficiency with Python, Bash scripting, and R.
