Descripción de la oferta

Are you interested in how cells respond to stressful situations, such as exposure to chemotherapy or hypoxia, and how they switch on cytoprotective as well as inflammatory responses as a consequence? If the answer is ‘yes’, then please read further!
Several postdoctoral positions are available within Prof. Seamus Martin’s laboratory at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. We are investigating the links between Cell Stress, Cell Death and Inflammation, and are especially interested in how inflammation is initiated in cancer by tissue stress, protein misfolding, as well as chemotherapy. The laboratory is well equipped and funded by a recently awarded ERC Advanced Grant and the IRC Laureate programme and is located within the Dept. of Genetics on the Trinity College campus in the heart of Dublin. Applicants should be highly motivated and ambitious and have a background in either Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology or Molecular Biology.
