The ISC is partnering with the Implementation Support Unit of the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) on a project to strengthen the bridge between science and policy by bringing together distinguished scientists, academics, and diplomats to prepare the ground for a stronger science-policy interface within the BWC. We invite nominations of authoritative experts specializing in:
• Science and Technology Advisory Mechanisms relevant to the fields of disarmament and life sciences,
• Verification and Compliance of Biological Weapons related activities, and
• International Cooperation and Assistance under international conventions.
Selected experts will participate in several online meetings from September to October, culminating at the in-person BWC meeting in Switzerland in December. Please share this opportunity widely within your Member organization and encourage relevant experts to apply by 14 July. Experts must be nominated by an executive council member or focal point of an ISC Member organization and will receive an honorarium of 2 000 Euros for their work.
