The conference will last one week from the 2nd to the 8th of December and will host approximately 150 participants.
The goal of the conference is to give an overview of state-of-the-art research that is exploring the importance of quantum theory in biology and the life sciences. The scope of the subjects targeted is broad and will consider both mainstream and more speculative applications. Therefore, sessions will be devoted, among others, to catalysis, charge and energy transfer and tunneling, sensing, quantum computing and its application in the life sciences, quantum effects in the brain, and, given the historical and scientific significance of the conference site, possible links between quantum theory and evolution.
